Eliza is a Vancouver-based Writer + Director.
Eliza's work blends elevated, dreamy visuals with emotionally resonant storytelling, creating films that are both visually striking and deeply felt. She is drawn to stories that deepen empathy and broaden perspective, often exploring culture, social themes, and the female experience in ways that invite reflection. Across commercials, music videos, and narrative film, she brings a cinematic sensibility rooted in intention, infusing each project with beauty through an atmospheric, lyrical approach and a refined visual style.
After studying Communications at SFU and Directing at UCLA, she honed her craft in the ad industry, developing treatments for global brands and top-tier directors.
Eliza is a Shiny Awards Finalist, a 1.4 Awards honoree, and was named one of “Canada’s Brightest Rising Directors in 2025” by LBBonline. Her work has been selected for ReelAbilities, LA Shorts International Film Festival, Venice Shorts, Williamsburg Independent Film Festival, and Female Voices NYC, and featured on LBBonline, Kodak ShootFilm, Nylon, and Refinery29.
Informed by her lived experience as a neurodivergent filmmaker, Eliza is passionate about building more mindful, inclusive production processes and strengthening representation on screen and behind the camera.
